Wendi Russo is featured as Ms. January 2011 in "Calendars for Conquering Cancer", a calendar featuring successful and some well known women over 40 whose lives have been touched by cancer. The Calendar was created by Michelle Murphy Jopp, to help raise money for the Mayo Clinic to help find a cure for “Waldenstrom”, a rare form of Non- Hodgkin Lymphoma Cancer and currently there is no cure, nor can those afflicted be in remission. Mrs. Eden Prairie takes state crown
Wendi Russo, an on-air host with ShopNBC in Eden Prairie, won the Mrs. Minnesota pageant at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul on Saturday night.
Russo will represent Minnesota at the Mrs. America pageant in September in Tucson, Ariz.
The Minnesota contest was held in conjunction with the Mrs. Iowa and Mrs. Wisconsin pageants. Contestants from the three states participated in interviews and physical fitness and evening gown events at the annual competition.
